Description
The Albert Street Railway Footbridge in Monifieth was engineered for the Dundee and Arbroath Joint Railway in 1905. This footbridge is made of cast iron and steel, featuring a timber deck and concrete ramps. It has an irregular elliptical arch that is supported by two pairs of cast-iron Doric columns, with the arch's underside displaying quatrefoil tracery. The bridge is also equipped with a steel lattice parapet that includes oversailing loop braces.
