Old School House, Kellas

The Old School House in Kellas is an early 19th-century building that served as a former school and school house. It is a single-storey, rectangular-plan structure with a two-storey school house section. The exterior is finished in harled rubble with a slate roof and brick gable stacks. The windows are plate-glass sash and case, featuring modern single panes in the rear addition, with ashlar and cement rendered margins. The building has plain bargeboards and exposed purlins at the gables of the single-storey section.

On the south elevation, the house is located on the left side, with a door at the centre that is obscured by a modern glazed porch. There are windows on both the left and right sides, and three windows on the first floor. To the right, there is a slightly lower, single-storey wing of the school with four windows. A former porch with a finial is located on the gabled return to the right, with a window to the east in the position of a former door.

The north elevation features a single-storey, flat-roofed modern addition that includes a door and three windows, along with one window at the left return, which obscures the ground floor of the house on the right. There is a window and a shouldered wallhead stack at the wing on the left, and a blank bay at the far left.
