Banff Tyre Services, 9 Old Market Place, Banff

Banff Tyre Services, located at 9 Old Market Place in Banff, is a building originally constructed in 1780 as a single-storey school by master mason John Mitchell. It was raised to two storeys in 1805. The building features a regular two-storey, six-bay design with a round-headed, keystoned entrance that is off-centre, leading to a double-leaf panelled door. The fenestration is regular, and the structure is made of rubble with painted ashlar margins. There are ground and first-floor windows in the west return gable.

At the rear, there is a harled two-storey wing with four bays; the ground floor is used as garages, while the first floor has regular fenestration. The upper lights of the timber sash and case windows have two-pane glazing, while the lower lights have single-pane glazing. The building features coped end stacks and a slate roof.
