Description
Panton House is a tall, two-storey and attic, three-bay house built in the late 18th century, located in Old Market Place, Banff. The exterior features harled walls with painted tooled ashlar margins. The central entrance has a panelled door, and the windows are regular in arrangement, consisting of timber sash and case windows that are taller on the first floor, with 12-pane glazing. There are later small segmental-headed wallhead dormers with 4-pane glazing in the outer bays, and a blocked gable attic light in the west gable. The house has margined and moulded coped end stacks and a slate roof. The interior was largely gutted in 1994.
