Description

James Duncan, architect, Turriff, dated 1866. Single storey, wide 3-bay street frontage with hall and dwelling at rear (facing Stuart Lane). Dark local whinstone frontage with painted ashlar dressings, harled rear with ashlar margins.

Centre consoled corniced entrance in main street frontage with double-leaf panelled door; flanking consoled corniced tripartites;

plate glass and 4-pane timber sash and case glazing. Eaves band

and eaves cornice with blocking course raised and shaped in centre with datestone. Corniced end stacks; slate roof.

Hall: 4-bay frontage to Stuart Lane; hall with centre door below light flanked by windows; additional entrance extreme N to dwelling house at end of gable. 12-pane glazing to hall; 3 triangular roof vents. End stack; slate roof.
