Boys' Brigade Hall, Seafield Street, Banff

The Boys' Brigade Hall, designed by architect James Duncan from Turriff in 1866, is a single-storey building located on Seafield Street in Banff. It features a wide three-bay street frontage with a hall and a dwelling at the rear, which faces Stuart Lane. The building is constructed from dark local whinstone with painted ashlar dressings, while the rear is harled with ashlar margins.

The main entrance on the street front has a consoled corniced design and includes a double-leaf panelled door, flanked by consoled corniced tripartite windows. The glazing consists of plate glass and four-pane timber sash and case windows. The building has an eaves band and an eaves cornice, with a raised and shaped blocking course at the center that features a datestone. There are corniced end stacks and a slate roof.

On the Stuart Lane side, the hall has a four-bay frontage with a central door below a light, flanked by windows. There is an additional entrance at the extreme north end leading to the dwelling house at the gable's end. The hall features twelve-pane glazing and three triangular roof vents, along with an end stack and a slate roof.
