Description

Circa 1850. 2-storey and attic, wide 3-bay pair of dwellings with later inserted shop. Dark local whinstone, painted polished and tooled ashlar dressings. Paired centre doors within double corniced and pilastered doorpiece. Original aproned window at left (No 41), narrow 3-bay shop front right (No 43). Regular fenestration in lst floor; later l9th century canted dormers in outer bays. 12-pane glazing, plate glass and 4-pane in dormers, all timber sash and case. Corniced end stacks (heightened at right); slate roof.
