Description
11 Bridgefield in Stonehaven is a late 18th century end terrace house with later additions. It is two stories high and has a rectangular plan, currently partly used by a charitable organization. The building features a splayed angle corbelled to a square at the top of the wall. The exterior is harled with ashlar stone on the sides. There is a base course at the gable and a cavetto-moulded eaves cornice on the main elevation. The ground floor openings are small.
The principal elevation is symmetrical, with a central door on the ground floor flanked by windows in the outer bays, and regular window placement on the first floor.
On the south elevation facing Arbuthnott Street, there is a two-bay gable with windows on the outer left and right at each floor. There is a harled lean-to bay on the outer left, which has a door on the ground floor and a single window above.
The windows are timber sash and case with a 4-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates and features a stone ridge. The gable ends have coped ashlar stacks with thackstanes and cans, and the skews are ashlar-coped with block skewputts.
