Description
5 Arbuthnott Street is an early 19th century terraced house that stands two storeys high with an attic and features three bays, arranged in a 2-1 grouping. The exterior is constructed of rough red ashlar with ashlar dressings.
On the southwest elevation, the ground floor has a door located in the bay to the left of centre, with windows in the flanking bays. The first floor displays regular fenestration that abuts the eaves, while modern dormer windows are positioned over the outer bays, flanking a small cast-iron rooflight at the centre. The windows are timber sash and case, featuring a 4-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are coped ashlar stacks with cans and thackstanes, along with ashlar-coped skews that include moulded skewputts.
