2 Bridgefield Terrace Including Boundary Walls

2 Bridgefield Terrace is a short terrace of early 20th century, 2-storey, 2-bay cottages with a rectangular plan and gabled roofs. The cottages feature swept-roof canted windows, terracotta ridge details, finials, and Shavian stacks. They are constructed of red brick, accented with contrasting keystoned door lintels and cills, and have a jettied first floor supported by brick corbels. The windows include timber transoms and mullions.

On the south elevation, No 1 has a 9-panelled timber door with a plate glass fanlight to the right at ground level, along with a small square window above. To the left, there is a bay with a canted window below a single window that breaks the eaves into a finialled dormer gablet. No 2 mirrors this arrangement, while No 3 is similar to No 2 but has a modern timber door. The west elevation has been altered, featuring a replacement single window at the first floor. The north (rear) elevation includes a variety of elements, including dormer gablets. The east elevation of No 1 has a gabled appearance with a single window at the first floor above a lean-to extension.

The canted windows have 4-pane top lights over plate glass glazing, while the first floor gabletted windows and those on the east and west elevations have an 8-pane over 2-pane glazing pattern. All windows are in timber casement or sash and case styles, with late 20th century glazing in No 1. The roofs are covered with grey slates, and there are monumental coped brick ridge stacks with cans, ashlar-coped skews with block skewputts over brick corbels, and terracotta ridge tiles and finials. The cottages also feature plain bargeboarding and overhanging eaves.

The interiors retain moulded cornices and timber-balustered staircases. Nos 2 and 3 have encaustic-tiled front halls, and No 3 includes an etched glass screen door. The boundary walls are low and saddleback-coped.
