Railings And Gate, Coach House Including Boundary Walls, 4 Bridgefield Terrace

This is a 2-storey, 3-bay T-plan house, built before 1823, which has been altered to include a lower bay converted into a garage. It is located next to The Mill Inn and features whitewashed rubble with droved margins and projecting cills. The eaves lintel course returns at the south gable.

On the principal elevation facing east, there is a modern timber door positioned off-centre to the right, flanked by windows in the outer bays, with regular fenestration on the first floor. The slightly set-back lower bay includes a garage door on the outer right.

The south elevation is a blank gabled wall adjoining The Mill Inn on the outer left side. The rear elevation, facing west, has a low gabled projection at the center.

The windows are replacement timber sash and case with a 16-pane glazing pattern and trickle vents. The roof is covered with small grey slates, and there are coped ashlar and render stacks topped with thackstanes and polygonal cans, along with ashlar-coped skews.

The boundary walls are low and coped, featuring inset hoopwork railings and a gate.
