Description
The Mill of Auchintoul, built in 1848, is a two-storey, five-bay former sawmill situated on rising ground. The structure is constructed from squared and coursed rubble with stugged ashlar dressings.
On the south elevation, there are two doors at the ground floor with a window between them, along with additional windows flanking the doors. The first floor features five windows.
The east and west elevations each have two large sliding doors at the gable ends, with the west door providing access from the bank to the upper level.
The north elevation previously housed an overshot wheel to the left, indicated by an ashlar wall-plane, with a lade adjoining the ground floor to the right. This elevation also includes two windows at the ground floor and one at the first floor.
The mill features half-glazed, half-shuttered casement windows, and is topped with graded grey slates, ashlar coped skews, and bracketed skewputts.
