Description
The building is an early 19th century former sawmill, designed with a rectangular plan and two stories. Constructed from rubble, it features a piended roof.
On the east elevation, there is a wide flat-arched opening at the ground floor, with a 4-pane window to the left at the first floor. The north elevation includes three window openings at the first floor, along with the remains of a full-height rubble lean-to attached to the left of center and another on the right. The west elevation has a door to the left of center and a 4-pane window to the right of center. The south elevation showcases a water-wheel at the center, with a window to the left of the wheel and another window to the right at the first floor.
The water-wheel, dating from the mid-19th century, is an overshot type made of cast iron with zinc buckets and features an 8-spoke design with a geared drive from the rim. The roof is covered with grey slates and includes small rooflights at the eaves, with three on the north pitch, two on the east, and one on the south. There is no remaining internal machinery.
