Description

Late 18th century. 2 storey, 3 bay, L plan mill (currently not in use) with later additions and alterations. Tooled coursed granite and random rubble with tooled long and short dressings.

NE ELEVATION: asymmetrical; timber gabled doorway breaking eaves to centre with boarded timber door; modern metal flue to flanking bay to left; advanced, gabled later 19th century bay to right, infilled opening to centre flanked to left by small square infilled opening, left return blank.

NW ELEVATION: asymmetrical; regular fenestration to centre and left bays; gabled bay to right with

6 spoke single ring overshot timber and iron water wheel to ground floor, window set in gablehead, carved stone finial to apex.

SW ELEVATION: obscured by remains of adjoining building (now demolished); irregular openings.

SE ELEVATION: symmetrical; gabled; small infilled opening to centre. INTERIOR: timber columns, beams, stair, and 1st floor. Some machinery and fixtures in situ.
