Description
Janefield is an early 19th-century farmhouse that is two stories tall with an attic and features five bays. The exterior is harled with ashlar margins.
On the south elevation, there is a central door obscured by a modern porch, with windows located in the outer bays. The first floor has five windows. The east elevation has one window at ground level and two smaller windows in the attic, one of which is blocked. The west elevation features one window each at the ground and first floors, along with two smaller attic windows. There is a single-storey service wing attached at right angles to the rear, which has a modern roof.
The windows are sash and case style with a four-pane glazing pattern. The interior has not been seen. The roof is covered with renewed grey slates, and there are ashlar coped skews, along with stacks that have moulded copes and decorative cans.
