Description
North Lodge at Udny Castle is a lodge built around 1875 by Wardrop and Anderson. It is a single-storey structure made of snecked granite, featuring an asymmetrical front with a porch located at the angle and a bay window at the gable. The lodge is adorned with gothic barge-boards. The gates include a fine pair of gatepiers dating from the late 17th to early 18th century, made of surface granite with pulvinated rustication. The side gates and likely the ball-capped console-crowns were added in 1875.
