Description
7 Old Castlegate in Banff is a house from the later 18th century. It is two storeys high and has a wide, four-bay front, with a two-storey rear wing that forms an L-shape. The exterior is harled with painted ashlar margins. The front features four-pane timber sash and case windows, while the rear has a variety of window styles. There is a doorway at the back leading to a rear courtyard shared with numbers 8-10 Castle Street. The house has moulded copes on the end stacks, flat skews with moulded run-off skewputts, and a slate roof.
