Description

6 Old Castlegate in Banff is a two-storey, three-bay house dated 1868 at the wallhead, though it likely incorporates earlier materials. The building features a wide pend bay on the south side and is finished with harled walls and painted tooled ashlar dressings. The central entrance has a panelled door, and the windows are timber sash and case with four-pane glazing. There are margined end stacks, which are heightened on the south side, and the roof is covered with slate.
