Description

6 Castle Street in Banff is a tall, two-storey building with a dormerless attic, dating from around 1760. It has four bays and features harled walls with painted ashlar margins. The wide segmental arch that once led to a pend is now blocked and serves as a shop entrance. The ground floor has long windows, while the first floor has four regular windows with four-pane glazing in timber sash and case style. There is also an attic light in the gable end. The building has a single end corniced stack, flat skews with run-off skewputts, and a corrugated asbestos roof.
