Description

5 Old Castlegate in Banff is a house from the later 18th century, featuring two storeys and three bays. The exterior is harled with painted ashlar margins. The central entrance has a double-leaf panelled door, which is flanked by an additional window. The windows are timber sash and case with four-pane glazing. The house has coped end stacks and flat skews with run-off skewputts, topped by a slate roof.
