Description

Mid 18th century house fronting parallel earlier range.

FRONT BLOCK: dated 1759. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay street frontage; harled with painted ashlar margins. Centre entrance; flanking windows with 12-pane glazing; regular lst floor fenestration with 12-pane lying-pane glazing; late l9th century canted wallhead dormers in outer bays with plate glass and 4-pane glazing; all windows timber sash and case. Flat skews with moulded run-off skewputts; moulded copes to

end stacks; slate roof.

REAR BLOCK: much altered early 18th century single storey over raised basement dwelling linked to later front block. Harled rubble, some painted ashlar margins. Basement doorway in N gable, lst floor N gable window. E frontage masked by substantial modern bay windows with piended roofs; mullioned and transomed lights, 4 light to right (NE) and 3-light over single basement window at left (SE).

Single early l8th century apex chimney stack at N gable; slate

roof.

GARDEN WALLS: rear garden enclosed with rubble walls.
