Description
33 Low Street in Banff is a house from the mid to later 18th century. It is two stories high and has three bays, with a pend entrance located on the right side. The exterior is harled, with painted ashlar margins and dressings. The near-centre doorway is flanked by windows, and the pend entrance features an artisan columned doorpiece that leads to a close. There are two windows on the first floor, along with two later 19th-century canted dormers that have flat roofs. The shop windows are made of plate glass, while the timber sash and case windows on the first floor also have plate glass glazing, and the dormers have four-pane glazing.
The house has a single tall corniced wallhead stack and a slate roof.
The section at 33 Low Street is likely a later addition to the main front. This two-story, two-bay rear wing is also harled with painted ashlar margins. It features a ground floor doorway and large windows.
