Description

1820-30. 3-storey and attic, 3-bay house with later shop fronts in ground floor; wing to rear, No 25. Harled frontage, harl-pointed rubble return gables and rear. Ashlar margins and dressings, painted in street frontage.

Ground floor frontage largely absorbed with later shop windows and entrance, but some original rustication survives (painted); early 20th century bracketted fascia board across full width of building.

Regular lst and 2nd floor fenestration; corniced lst floor windows with moulded jambs; plain smaller 2nd floor windows; later l9th century canted wallhead dormers in outer bays (and l at rear). Plate glass glazing in frontage, and 4-pane in dormers, 12-pane glazing at rear, all timber sash and case.

Deep moulded wallhead cornice; coped end stacks; slate roof.

25 LOW STREET: 2-storey block at rear linked to main house; harl ointed rubble; wallhead stack; piended slate roof.
