Description
This is a mid 18th century, two-storey and attic house located at 13 Low Street in Banff. It features five bays, with later shops added in the outer bays. The ground floor is constructed of squared granite ashlar, while the upper part is harled, with red sandstone ashlar dressings that are mostly painted.
The wide central door has broad moulded jambs and is flanked by three-bay shop fronts from around 1820, each with a central door and panelled aproned windows. The first-floor windows are regular and have chamfered margins. There are three dormers, which are original to the house but have later segmental heads. The glazing consists of plate glass timber sash and case windows.
The building has a single corniced end stack, a slate roof, a stone ridge, and flat skews with moulded run-off skewputts.
