Description
Ardo House is an original house and granary built shortly after 1756. The house has been significantly altered and features a two-storey structure made of coursed rubble, which is incorporated at right angles into a two-storey, three-window granite ashlar mansion dating from around 1850. A large neo-Greek porch, noted for its excellent design, was added in 1921, along with a greenhouse built in 1913. The interior showcases simple yet distinctive early Victorian work. The property also includes a court of offices and an interesting granary building with a suspended floor.
