Description
Mill House is a granary that was converted into a house. It dates from the mid-18th century and was converted in 1940, with further extensions added in the mid and late 20th century. The building is timber framed with rendered walls, which were originally covered in weatherboarding. It features a half hipped roof with a ridge stack that was inserted around 1940 using reused brick. The house has two storeys. The original doorway to the lobby entry is now blocked and is located in a late 20th-century crosswing at the east end. The south side of the building has three mid-20th-century dormers, and all the fenestration and openings are modern. Some of the original framing is still visible internally. The building is included for its group value.
