Description

Mantings House is an early 19th-century house located on the north west side of North End, Meldreth. The main house is timber-framed, with a stuccoed exterior and a slate roof, featuring red brick end stacks. It is a double pile house, meaning it has rooms on both sides of a central passage. The front elevation has four flush frame hung sash windows, each with pointed arches to the top panes. There are three similar sash windows on the ground floor, fitted with louvred shutters. A cast iron gabled porch, also from the early 19th century, protects the doorway. On the west side of the main house is a later 19th-century service wing constructed of painted brick, with a slate roof and two storeys.
