Description
45 The Green in Aberdeen is an early 19th-century, three-storey tenement building featuring a piended roof and a three-by-three bay design. The ground floor includes a shop that faces The Green and extends to Carmelite Street, although the shopfront was altered in 2006. The building is constructed of coursed granite, with rubble on the west side facing Martin's Lane. The principal north elevation has a regular arrangement of windows, with a central entrance flanked by large glass windows. There are some infilled openings on the ground floor to the east. The building also features late 20th-century dormers. Most of the windows are 12-pane timber sash and case. The roof is covered with grey slate, and there is a coped wallhead stack on the east side.
