Description
10 Exchange Street in Aberdeen is a mid-19th century, two-storey, four-bay classical building that was formerly a banking hall. It is constructed from grey granite ashlar and features a band course and a cill course. The building has a simple moulded cornice and a blocking course. The ground floor has deep-set round arched openings with aprons below the windows. To the right, there is a four-panelled timber entrance door set in an arched opening, flanked by narrow timber pilastered jambs and topped with a semi-circular fanlight.
Inside, the original room layout is largely intact as of 2006, with some timber dado panelling present. However, a modern lowered ceiling may obscure earlier features.
