5 New Pier Road, Footdee, Aberdeen

5 New Pier Road in Footdee, Aberdeen, is a cottage built in 1874. It is two stories high with an attic and features a three-bay design with a swept gable and a slightly recessed curving corner bay. The exterior is made of grey granite rubble with galleted joints.

The cottage has a two-leaf timber doorway located in the corner bay, topped with a simple rectangular fanlight. To the left, there is a two-bay section with regularly arranged openings on both the ground and first floors, along with a large piended, tripartite dormer above. The swept corner on the right side leads to an attic gable, which has a single opening on each floor. There is an additional entrance on the ground floor to the right, along with a further two-storey bay and a single-storey outshot that has a doorway to the far right.

The windows throughout the cottage are plate-glass timber sash and case, with curved glazing in the first-floor corner bay. The roof is covered with grey slate and features a broad gable stack with ashlar skews.
