Description
The Mission Hall, built in 1870 by William Smith, is a simple single-storey structure located at the center of North Square in Footdee. It is constructed from coursed, roughly squared, and snecked rubble, featuring raised brick dressings and round-arched openings. On the west elevation, there are four round-arched windows with raised cills and brick voussoirs, and above them is a central circular window. At the apex, there is a brick bellcote that incorporates a chimney. The east elevation has a single-storey lean-to that runs the length of the building. The south elevation features two-leaf round-arched doors positioned at the far left and right. The hall has fixed-pane glazing and a grey slate roof with large rooflights on the lower pitch. The skews are made of ashlar, and it has cast-iron rainwater goods.
