Description
The Roman Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart and the Presbytery House in Torry, Aberdeen, was designed by C.J. Menart in 1911 and features an Early Provence-Auvergne Romanesque style. The building has a cruciform shape with an aisled apse and a broad lantern crossing tower. It is constructed from random freestone rubble, and the roof is made of red English tiles. Inside, there is a baldacchino that reflects Roman and Early Christian influences.
