Description

Victoria Bridge in Aberdeen was designed by engineer Edward L J Blyth from Edinburgh in 1881. This five-span bridge features segmental arches that span the River Dee. It is constructed from rough-faced grey granite, with ashlar used for the piers and parapet. The bridge has rounded cutwaters and advanced piers, which include round arched panels above them. The parapet is coped and panelled, and decorative cast iron lamp stands are positioned on each pier.
