Description
Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, located on Dalratho Road in Grangemouth, was built in 1927 and designed by architect Archibald Macpherson in the Gothic Revival style. The church is constructed of snecked rubble and features a tiled roof. It has round-headed windows arranged in pairs and salient buttresses. At the west end, there is a five-sided open porch with a figure of Christ in a niche above it. The interior of the church is aisled, with internal walls and arcades made of brick. It boasts an open timber ceiling and a gallery at the west end, along with a sanctuary arch at the east.
