8 Havelock Place, Warrenpoint, Newry, Co Down, BT34 3NE

This is one of a pair of two-and-a-half-storey, two-bay houses forming part of a larger terrace in Warrenpoint, County Down. The building dates from around 1883, appearing for the first time in the Valuation book of that year; a house was present on the site prior to 1834. The roof is pitched and covered with artificial slate, with a large central dormer that mirrors the front roofline and features modern timber bargeboards. A rendered chimney stands on the left side, and modern plastic rainwater goods are fitted, including a downpipe on the left. The front elevation is rendered and painted, and a four-panelled timber door is located on the right-hand side, surmounted by a semicircular fanlight. All windows are modern stained timber casements with thin concrete sills, one on the ground floor to the left and two to the first floor. The dormer contains a pair of round-headed windows. The front garden is enclosed by a rendered and painted dwarf wall topped with modern hoop-topped railings and a matching gate, which is level with the adjacent properties. The left and right gables form party walls with the neighbouring buildings (HB16/11/013G and HB16/11/013I). The rear elevation has not been inspected. The building was delisted on 15 June 1988.
