5 Havelock Place, Warrenpoint, Newry, Co Down, BT34 3NE

5 Havelock Place is a small, two-storey, two-bay house, built sometime between 1840 and 1859, located at the right side of a terrace within the Ringmackilroy townland of Warrenpoint, Newry. Originally part of a pair of houses, it is situated to the left of a similar property and shares a chimney stack with it within a party wall. The roof is pitched and covered with natural slate, and modern rainwater goods with a shared downpipe are present.

The front elevation is cement rendered and painted, with stepped render quoins on either side. The front door, located on the left side at ground floor level, is panelled and has a lozenge-glazed transom above it. There is a single window on the right side at ground floor level, and two smaller windows on the first floor. All windows have modern fixed lights with top-hung transoms and deep cills. The rear elevation has not been inspected.

Although buildings are shown on a town map from 1834, the current house is not depicted until the 1861 Ordnance Survey town map, where it is described as measuring 5.5 yards square, with two storeys and a one-storey return. It was formerly used and is currently used as a house. The building was previously considered for group value but was delisted on 15 June 1988. It retains no original architectural or historical features due to alterations and the replacement of its original windows and door.
