5 Market Street, Moneymore, Magherafelt, Co Londonderry, BT45 7PE

A mid-19th century single-storey store building, constructed as an infill piece within the larger market and corn store complex that had been established a couple of decades earlier. It was built to harmonise with the adjacent houses and forms part of a terrace fronting Market Street, being part of the second Market project undertaken by the Draper's Company. The building is of stone construction, with natural slated roofs, and is two bays wide, incorporating two sections of differing heights. The eastern section features a central, wide, square-headed gateway, while the western section has a central, sheeted, narrow door with a small window to one side. These openings are partially trimmed with brick. The walls are built of roughly squared white limestone, with small openings and vents positioned under the eaves of the higher section. The building did not appear on maps from 1832 or 1856, being a later addition carried out in matching stonework. One half of the higher section is currently used as a garage by the owner of No. 13 High Street. The building is located within a conservation area and possesses group value; its significance stems from its style, proportions, and plan form, as well as its social, cultural, and economic importance and relative rarity. Construction is estimated to have occurred between 1860 and 1879.
