This is a small, single-storey house likely dating from before 1834, situated on the northeast side of Killinchy Road, approximately two miles north of Killinchy village. The house has undergone extensive modernization and now has a modern appearance.

The front, or southwest-facing, facade features a centrally positioned uPVC door flanked by two large uPVC windows to the left and a smaller uPVC window to the right. The southeast gable is blank, while the northwest gable has a single uPVC window on the left side. A rear extension now projects beyond the original line of the house, with a uPVC door and flanking uPVC windows. The entire facade is finished with Tyrolean render and painted. The roof is gabled and covered in concrete tiles, with a slight overhang, boxed-in eaves and verge, and a single brick chimney stack. uPVC rainwater goods are also present.

Historical records indicate the house had a thatched roof when first surveyed in 1974 and retained more of its original characteristics at that time. The house’s footprint and location match a structure shown on Ordnance Survey maps from 1834 and 1859-60, suggesting this is the original building. It was not included in the first valuation survey of around 1835, indicating a very low value, but was noted in a subsequent survey, having been leased from Reverend John McCaw by a John Conolly.

While the house’s design has changed considerably through modernization, it is understood the construction likely took place between 1980 and 1999.
