19 Main Street, Greyabbey, Newtownards, Co. Down, BT22 2NE

This is a plain two-storey terrace house built after approximately 1920, located on the south-east side of Main Street in Greyabbey. The front and rear facades are finished with rough cast render, while the gable is in plain render. The pitched roof is covered in Bangor blue slates, and there is a brick chimney stack on the left (north-west) gable. The front elevation is asymmetrical, featuring a modern timber and glazed door with a plain fanlight to the right, and a large PVC window to the left. A similar window is positioned centrally on the first floor. The south-west gable is blank and has a large metal gate attached. A large single-storey lean-to kitchen extension with modern PVC windows extends from the rear, along with three narrow PVC windows on the rear of the original house.

Historical records indicate that a larger building occupied part of this site in 1834, and a photograph from around 1920 depicts a rubble wall where the current house now stands, confirming its post-1920 construction date. References used in determining this detail include valuation records from 1866 to 1930 and a valuation plan from 1906 to 1935, as well as a photograph of Main Street taken around 1920.
