Description

Small plain single storey gabled terrace house of possible mid 19th century construction, now a doctor's surgery. The property is set on the south east side of Main Street, Greyabbey. Facade finished in rough cast. Roof gabled with Bangor blue slates. PVC gutter. Front NW elevation is asymmetrical and has a timber panelled door, with plain fanlight, to the far left. There is a narrow moulded surround to the doorway (possibly added c.1925-30), with moulded keystone and other quoin-like moulded sections to each side. Traditional looking street sign between door and first window and small ‘clinic’ sign to immediate right of door. Small electric light on wall to left of door. To right of doorway is a window with recent timber frame, with Georgian panes. Sash window (with wrought iron railings in front) to far right belongs to the neighbouring Police station and the metal fence around the station is attached to the facade of this building (No.82) between the first and second windows. NE gable blank. To the rear there are two modern timber windows to the right and a glazed door, with steps, to the left.
