Description
This barn, located about 10 meters south of Lockyer's Farmhouse, is likely from the 17th century. It is constructed from local stone that has been cut and squared, topped with a half hipped double Roman clay tiled roof. The barn features five bays and has a loft at the north end, along with a projection on the west side. The north gable includes doors at both levels and a small six-light ovolo moulded mullioned timber window. Although the roof frame has been significantly altered, it primarily consists of double collar trusses with two purlins on each slope and some arched windbracing. There are central doors on the long sides, a drive shaft for machinery on the west wall, and a cider press located in the northwest corner. The flooring is made of Keinton stone flags.
