Description

The Hutchins monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 3 meters south-east of the porch of the Church of All Saints in Martock. It dates from the 18th century and is made of Ham stone. The tomb features a moulded plinth on a step, plain panels on each end and two on each side, and reeded pilasters with Ionic capitals. There is no frieze, and it has a moulded hipped top. The monument commemorates Thomas Hutchins, who died in 1724.
