Description
Hutchings Monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 18 metres northeast of the chancel of the Church of St Wenna. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of granite and slate. The monument features a large granite headstone with a moulded pedimental top. It has an inset slate tablet that displays an incised two-centred arch with carved wings in the spandrels. The lettering and verses are well-executed. The headstone commemorates Susanna Hutchings, who passed away in 1828.
