Description
The Bible Christian Chapel, dated 1879, is a chapel built from granite rubble, with the front made of squared granite rubble. It features brick dressings and a brick porch, topped with a slate roof that has crested ridge tiles and gable ends. The front gable end is adorned with a granite finial. The chapel has a single auditorium layout, with the entrance located at the front gable end through a porch, which is a slightly later addition to the main structure. The ritual east is at the rear.
The exterior is a single storey with a symmetrical front that includes a gabled brick porch, buttresses, and a 4-centred arched doorway, alongside a pointed arched sidelight on the left. Inside, there are plank double doors with a shouldered arch and decorative ironwork. A recessed datestone in the porch gable displays raised upper case lettering that reads: B.C. Chapel 1879. On either side of the porch, there are two 2-centred arched windows with margin glazing, framed by chamfered granite surrounds, and a central circular window above. The right and left sides of the chapel each have two 2-light wooden windows featuring cusped lights and 2-centred arches. The interior boasts a ceiled arched-brace roof.
