Description
Hawken headstone, located about 10 metres south of the Church of St Uvelus, is a late 18th century slate headstone featuring a square head. The headstone has no decoration, but the inscription, which is in upper and lower case with serifs, commemorates Mary, the wife of James Hawken, who died in 1790, and includes a verse below.
