Description
The lychgate, located east-south-east of the Church of St Uvelus, is likely from the 18th century, while the gates date to the 19th century. It is constructed from dressed slate rubble topped with slate capping. The lychgate features two flanking walls that create the gateway, with recessed seats on the inner sides of these walls. There are also a pair of small monolithic granite gate-piers from the late 19th century, which support a pair of simple wrought iron gates from the same period. This lychgate is an example of a simple, unroofed type.
