Description
The front boundary wall and gateway at Kelways Nurseries, likely built in the late 19th century, is constructed from local lias stone with Ham stone copings. The wall is approximately 700 mm high and features piers topped with similar mouldings. It is capped by rod rails adorned with cast iron spearheads. The central gates match the design and are supported by steel stanchions. Above the gates is a wrought-iron overthrow displaying the name 'KELWAYS' in large wooden letters. This structure is part of the setting for the nurseries, which were established in 1851 as the Royal Nursery and later named after its founder.
