Description
Wearne Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, topped with a triple roll clay tile roof featuring stepped coped gables and a brick chimney stack. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The windows are leaded casements with iron opening lights, including a 2-light window in the upper bay 1, a 3-light window on both levels of bay 2, and a 2-light window in the lower bay 3. Between bays 1 and 2, there is a boarded door set in a heavy frame, with timber lintels above all openings. There is a large extension to the east, which includes a farm building with a covered throughway at the east end. The interior has not been seen.
