Description

Stone House is a house built around 1840. It is constructed from local stone rubble with ashlar dressings, all painted, and features a Welsh slate roof with a shallow pitch between coped gables, along with stone and brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and two bays. It has horizontal bar casement windows set in toothed ashlar surrounds, with 4-centre arched heads to the lights; there are three lights below and two lights above. There are blind rectangular panels between the upper windows, and the lower windows are slightly projected under a hipped slate roof. The central doorway is set in a 4-centre arched recess and is accessed by four steps. The interior has not been seen. This building is a late example of the cottage ornee style.
