Description

The Rectory is a detached house dating from around 1800. It is constructed of fine-jointed red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a roof of plain clay tiles between stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. It features sash windows with 16 panes, set in plain openings with fine gauged brickwork flat heads. The central entrance has a part-glazed door and a cast-iron openwork porch with a lead bell-hip roof. The interior was not inspected during the listing process.

Approximately four metres south of the house is a low wall made of Ham stone, topped with wrought iron collared pointed railings, including a matching pedestrian gate. These railings contribute to the setting of the house and the general character of the streetscape.
