Description

Boundary Wall, Knockbuckle Road

The boundary wall dates to 1884 with early 20th century additions to the north-east. The wall is constructed of snecked sandstone with moulded ashlar coping, featuring alternating sections of high and low wall. Some sections of the lower wall incorporate cast-iron railings.

The gatepiers are freestanding structures with diaper-rustication and corniced pyramidal caps. The gates themselves are two-leaf, cast-iron work with spear-headed design.
